Description | Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean. For nearly twenty five years the island has been divided between the Greeks and the Turksish population - the Turks in the north and the Greeks in the south. Plastic over wire armature body. Papier-mache type face with painted features and applied fur beard. (Picture 003A shows a Cypriot Priest on a postcard). 14" high. Cyprus. 1972. Makers marks: "A" on one shoulder and "N" on the other shoulder. (The doll was brought back from Nicosia, Cyprus for me in 1972). |
